There are guides online that simplifying getting grants, scholarships and financial aid – I found one that was exactly what I was looking for and did not have fluff.

There are grants specifically given to moms, single mothers, unwed mothers, etc. And you can get your hands on a good amount of money to help pay for your college education. I got a Pell grant that paid all my school expenses except for living costs. it was a great feeling to know that i would not have to pay the money back. The maximum amount you can get for the 2010-2011 award year is $ 5,550. It’s amazing and a blessing. The amount you receive depends on:

  • financial need
  • expenses to attend school
  • if you are a full-time or part-time student
  • and whether or not you are attending school for a full academic year or less
